Santa Monica-based advertising agency SUPERMOON launches their first campaign for CustomInk, the leading provider of custom apparel and accessories for groups and communities.
The newly-launched agency reached deep into CustomInk’s own brand DNA to handcraft Steve the Spokestopus. Inspired by CustomInk’s logo, Steve is a stop-motion, talking octopus who lives in the CustomInk lobby aquarium. He also happens to be CustomInk’s biggest fan.
Steve brings a little eight-tentacled humor to the three-spot campaign. Alongside his underwater buddy, Doug the Diver, an inanimate fish tank aerator, Steve and Doug talk about everything from CustomInk’s online design lab and customer care to the wide range of products offerings. Supermoon partnered up with House Special and director Mark Gustafson (animation director of The Fantastic Mr Fox) to design, sculpt, and ultimately bring Steve to life.
The CustomInk campaign is one of the first projects to come out of SUPERMOON, which is a full-service, purpose-forward agency recently launched by partners Amir Haque, President; David DeRoma, Executive Creative Director, Jill Burgeson, Director of Strategy and Nicole Rowett, Director of Client Service.
