Not Impossible Labs wins at the 2015 One Show for their inspiring work on “Don’s Voice,” taking home the Silver Pencil for Interactive in the Public Service – Non-Profit category, the Bronze Pencil for Branded Entertainment – Online, and the Design Merit Award.
“Don’s Voice” follows the story of Not Impossible’s latest life-changing initiative. With HP on board, the Not Impossible team created the simple, open-source technology that would allow Don Moir, a husband and father stricken with ALS, to tell his wife he loved her for the first time in 15 years – using only his eyes.
The One Show recognition for Not Impossible’s work couldn’t have come at a more fitting time, as May and June are ALS awareness months (in the US and Canada consecutively.) The story of “Don’s Voice” endures as a powerful example of the momentous impact that can happen when awareness is turned into actual action and support for ALS patients.
