August 30th, 2013

WOOP!  Black Dog Films and Believe Media director Floria Sigismondi and Justin Timberlake were honored at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards this past Sunday with the evening’s most coveted award – VIDEO OF THE YEAR! Timberlake accepted the moonman for “Mirrors“, thanking Sigismondi for creating the such a personal tribute to his grandparents with the video, which also nabbed the prize for BEST EDITING.

Fellow Black Dog director Diane Martel‘s video for P!nk and Nate Ruess “Just Give Me A Reason” took home the award for BEST COLLABORATION! And watching the world’s jaw collectively hit the floor during Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus’s raunchy revue onstage made our night; with the pair repping two of the most talked-about videos that Martel unleashed this summer.

Believe Media director Anthony Mandler won BEST POP VIDEO for Selena Gomez’s “Come and Get It” and BEST FEMALE VIDEO win Selena’s BFF Taylor Swift for “I Knew You Were Trouble“.

After the party was, of course, the Black Dog after party with co-hosts co-hosts Pharrell Williams, Miley Cyrus, Diane Martel, and Terry Richardson at No. 8. Check out VOGUE’s coverage of the soiree, where we celebrated with the likes of Daft Punk, Jared Leto, Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson, and more.
