Lexus and Team One presented a jaw dropping reveal of the Lexus LC 500 at the 2016 North American International Auto Show with a spot directed by Big Block’s Shaun Collings. Taking a strong stance to defy its critics who said it couldn’t be done, Lexus presented the notably sleek “visionary luxury coupe” in distinct liking to the concept car originally presented at the 2012 Detroit motor show.
The ad positions the naysayers as a literal wrecking ball against the conceptual LF-LC in an intense moment of waiting to see if the car will make it out alive. With dramatic text quoting the opponents who said, “No, it’s impossible to engineer,” Lexus responds by saying “NO TO NO” as the LC 500 emerges onto the screen unscathed. The CG version of the car created by Big Block using its proprietary DRIVE A TRON software brings the luxurious design and 10-speed automatic transmission to life, staying true to the actual performance of the car itself.
